ROMAN GOD OF TRANSITIONS, WAR & PEACE, BEGINNINGS AND ENDINGS

He is often portrayed with two faces. One facing into the future and one into the past. This is my interpretation of Janus while exploring the idea of polarity and opposing forces working together.

Dream Cap

I designed and made a hat that I hope would aid people in sleeping and relaxing "on the go". It has a flap that comes down to cover your eyes, much like a sleeping mask. The right ear flap contains a sachet of lavender to relax you. Located on the outside of the hat is place to put your iPod so the earbuds actually come up inside the hat, making it less annoying to listen to music. I even picked the color purple because it is know to relax your eye. Plus the hat is just gosh darn cute.

"If you want to sing out"

This is a 36x28 inch poster I made inspired by the  1970's classic movie Harold and Maude. I first drew the design, then scanned it into photoshop and later Illustrator where I dropped in color. Finally I painted over it in silver acrylic.

Summer Portraits

This is a series of portraits I did at the beginning of the summer. I used ink, inkwash, watercolor, salt, papercut and collage.
